What We Train
At the Box Hill Pole Vault club, we develop the essential skills for Pole Vault success.
Pole Vault Technique
Speed
Strength and Conditioning
Spatial Awareness and Aerial Skills (Gymnastics)
Competition and Psychological Skills
Training for a pole vaulter involves a blend of strength, speed, technique, and agility. Athletes engage in workouts that focus on building explosive power through sprinting, plyometrics, vaulting, and strength training.
We develop a strong technical model of the pole vault approach, plant, and takeoff through specialised drills and competition simulation.
Overall, training for a pole vaulter is a synthesis of physical conditioning and technical refinement to achieve exceptional heights in performance.
